Choose the feel you love

Bamboo, cotton or linen?

The fibre is part of the story. The weight, construction and fit of the finished garment matter too.

01 / OUR LUXE BLEND

Bamboo jersey

Soft drape + added stretch

Our featured 95/5 bamboo jersey and spandex blend is worth exploring if you like a smooth, flexible feel rather than a crisp woven finish.

Jersey is a knit; the knit and spandex contribute to its give.

02 / FAMILIAR COMFORT

Cotton

Soft + absorbent

A familiar choice for everyday sleepwear. Cotton jersey can also have give, while woven cotton feels more structured.

Compare thickness and fit as well as the fibre name.

03 / A CRISPER FEEL

Linen

Airy + structured

Linen handles moisture well and its stiffness helps it stand away from the body. It also creases readily.

Consider it if you enjoy a crisper feel rather than stretchy jersey.

What does the research say?

Gericke and van der Pol found broadly comparable comfort properties in knitted regenerated bamboo, cotton and viscose fabrics of similar construction. Regenerated bamboo can make comfortable clothing; how the fabric is made matters alongside its fibre content.

Georgia Tech highlights linen’s moisture handling and airy feel; University of Georgia guidance describes cotton as absorbent and comfortable. This is research and guidance on fabrics, not laboratory testing of our finished pyjamas.

A comfortable fit matters

Find your just-right pair.

Our adult two-piece PJs use shared, unisex sizing. The adult men’s and women’s XXS–XXL charts share the same garment measurements; the women’s chart also gives dress-size equivalents.

View the PJNZ size guide
  1. 1Start with your usual NZ size, as our guide recommends. Compare with pyjamas you already enjoy wearing.
  2. 2Chest and waist figures are half measurements taken with the garment laid flat. Double them for garment circumference, allowing the room you prefer for sleeping.
  3. 3Use the separate charts for children, babies and nighties. Check your chosen product’s fabric details and follow its care label.
